Album Success

Well hello one and all. After the release of my album E=MC^Cullah, I did not expect much excitement to occur. This is partly due to the fact I did no advertising except for my friends on facebook. I decided, however, to ask the folks at Waffles.fm (a private torrent tracker site) to feature me on their front page. After a few weeks, BAM! There I was....king of the site for a few days. The response from this site alone was overwhelming. I got 1000s of downloads, 100s of site hits, 400 listeners on Last.fm, etc. I then applied for a Mininova Content Distribution account and have my album as one of their "featured" torrents. This was hardly effective at all.

 

The point is...people genuinely respect MC Cullah and the music he makes (and gives for free). Keyword there is FREE. No strings attached. Nothing to lose FREE.
There is a perfect quote that I found on the site www.highimpacthalo.com, a Halo forum. The reason I was looking around on this forum, was not because I am a fanatical Halo player, but because it showed up as one of the traffic sources to my site.

Well thank you Phasmorphage. Your post drew 2 people to come from highimpacthalo to my site!

 

The responses from Waffles members were very grand indeed. But many of the comments were something to this effect..
"Woh, dudes from BREW CITY?! MKE? Sweet bro! I'll have to check him out at one of his shows! I'm from MADTOWN! Wicked!"

 

This made me realize....I don't do shows. SHOWS! BRILLIANT! I whole nother side of music. MC Cullah is not just a musician, he is an entertainer. He will not dissapoint. So...everyone reading this right now (possible average of 20 ppl a day it seems), keep your eyes peeled here (and myspace) for show dates. They will be coming!

Album Covers and Lyrics

Hello one and all! Things have been going pretty well here at the MC Cullah residence ever since I dropped the fat boy of an album "E=MC...."what was it? Ah well...As you may or may not know I have asked you (the fan/listener/stalker/robot) to try and whip up some artwork for the new album. I didn't expect anything..I don't think anyone did. Well I got something! In fact a got a FeW somethings.

GREAT JOB EVERYONE! You all deserve a cookie to split. I will make my decision of which one to use within the next week or two. But WAIT!? You didn't know people were making artwork for The Notorious M.C.?!!? Well don't fret...if you send it to me by May 15th I will consider it! WOOHOO!
